What Are Signs of Termite Infestation?

1. Mud Tubes
Termites build pencil-width mud tubes to travel between their colony and food sources. These tubes are often found on foundations, walls, and other structures 

2. Hollow-Sounding Wood
If you tap on wood and it sounds hollow, it could be a sign of internal termite damage. Termites consume wood from the inside out, leaving a thin veneer

3. Discarded Wings
Termite swarmers (winged reproductive termites) shed their wings after finding a new place to establish a colony. Finding discarded wings near windowsills or entry points is a common sign

4. Frass (Termite Droppings)
Drywood termites leave behind small, pellet-like droppings called frass. These can accumulate in piles beneath infested wood

5. Blistering or Buckling Wood
Wood that appears blistered or buckles could indicate termite damage beneath the surface

6. Stuck Windows and Doors
Termite damage can cause wood to warp, making it difficult to open or close windows and doors

7. Swarmers
Seeing swarmers inside or outside your home is a clear indication of a nearby termite colony

8. Damaged Drywall
Termites can also damage drywall, leaving small holes or discolored areas

9. Moldy Scents
A moldy or mildew-like scent can indicate the presence of termites, as they are attracted to moisture

10. Squeaky Floors and Loose Tiles
Termite damage can cause floors to become overly squeaky or tiles to loosen
